<p>If there’s one entertainment device that everyone knows and loves, it’s the television. With the average American spending five hours + per day watching their television, it&#8217;s no wonder Google wants some of that action.</p>
<p>Together with Sony and Intel, Google are bringing to life the <strong>Google TV</strong> platform which will give viewers an internet interface via Google Chrome whilst watching tv content.    In an announcement last Thursday at Google I/O, Google challenged web developers to start coming up with the next great web and Android apps designed specifically for the TV experience.  </p>
